You know me, I’m a diva. When I travel somewhere, I want to stay at the very best hotel. I want to be truly pampered and feel like a VIP (aka. A Very Important Pooch.)

When in Philadelphia that hotel is, without a doubt, the Rittenhouse. It’s rated one of the top hotels in the world and it’s pretty obvious why. With ornate decor, sweeping ceilings and shiny marble floors, The Rittenhouse makes me feel like royalty. It is truly lush. Oh, and they loooove dogs here, which makes it even better.

When I arrived at The Rittenhouse, I got a warm welcome that was fit for a queen. I was pampered with a big comfy cushion, food bowls, goodies prepared by a pastry chef, and water. But, the most thoughtful treat of all was a custom embroidered pillow with my name on it! It was the best surprise ever. They sure know how to make a little doggie diva like me feel special!

But that wasn’t all. Can you believe they have a dog-friendly pup menu for room service? It’s fantastic and includes gourmet doggie treats such as beef stew, filet mignon and scottish salmon with scrambled eggs and spinach.

These are dishes specifically designed for dogs - and they are amazing! They even offer very special home baked doggie treats, including Puppy Love biscuits and Love Bites chicken jerky. I ordered breakfast in bed and I was truly living my best life.

They even celebrated National Dog Day on August 26th with special treats for dogs and a special giveaway for those who donated a minimum of $25 to the Morris Animal Refuge. The winners received a complimentary one night stay with their pup at the Rittenhouse.

Our stay was relaxing and when I saw the room for the first time, I wanted to bark with happiness! It’s easy to kick back and relax in such a gorgeous, luxurious hotel room. My human and I wrapped ourselves in plush terry robes, watched the huge HDTV and admired the view. Each of the rooms also has a lavish marble bathroom with a separate shower and oversized bathtub.

There were so many great things for my human and I to do nearby. We took a walk through Rittenhouse Square and the park, with so much to see and sniff. Picturesque and lined with trees, this park is the heart of the city and is so charming and elegant. It’s also a great place to see other local Philadelphia doggies out enjoying the sunshine!

The hotel is also very close to all the cool historic attractions and culture in downtown Philadelphia. Plus, this hotel is home to the Lacroix Restaurant - which is considered a local landmark in its own right.

If you’re a pup with great taste like me, I’d highly recommend the Rittenhouse. It’s not only beautiful and luxurious, but they have a deep love of dogs and really know how to make you feel at home.
