#TRAVELINGTINK x STAY PINEAPPLE - Chicago, IL
Well darlings, I have to admit it – I’m head over paws in love with Chicago!
What a fun city – so packed with culture, art, museums and wonderful food. When I saw my reflection in that big, shiny, mirrored bean, I knew Chicago would be a joy to explore. Plus, my human and I stayed in the delightfully chic StayPineapple Chicago Hotel, which made our stay even more special.
There’s a lot to love at this cool boutique hotel. All of the rooms at StayPineapple Chicago feature stylish historic touches original to the building, giving it a classic vibe. But the rooms were also equipped with modern amenities including high-definition TVs, mini-fridges and high-speed WiFi (perfect for uploading my gorgeous travel photos!).
From the moment we checked in, everyone was so nice and made us feel so welcome. The décor is funky, bright and stylish and the views from the windows are postcard-perfect. The historic building was designed by world renowned architect Daniel Burnham and features luxurious marble ceilings and mosaic floors. I couldn’t stop my tail from wagging with happiness when I arrived.
(It’s no wonder this hotel was named by Conde Nast Traveller as one of the best hotels in the world.)
But of course, my favorite feature of most hotel rooms is always a big, glorious, delicious breakfast in bed – and StayPineapple did not disappoint.
I’m also happy to report that Staypineapple has a great pet policy, which means that furry four-legged travellers like me will feel right at home. I received a soft doggie bed to snuggle up on, plus some treats, a doggie bag dispenser and a bowl to keep. They aren’t just dog-friendly, they are dog loving! They treated me like a queen and I loved every minute of it.
Plus, each StayPineapple room has a fluffy little stuffed husky called Dash, to give each pet a friend when they visit. If you choose to adopt Dash and bring him home with you, part of his “adoption fee” is donated to animal rescue organizations. Isn’t that fabulous?
My human and I had a blast exploring Chicago. We admired the views from the Sky Deck of the Willis Tower and spent a windy day exploring Navy Pier. We even took a long walk down Oak Street Beach, letting the breeze ruffle my fur and watching people swim and play.
Chicago is also known for fantastic food, so we made a point to check out some of the great local grub during our visit. The legendary burgers at Au Cheval certainly lived up to their hype. I’ll never forget the warm, cheesy, gooey Chicago deep dish pizza we enjoyed at Giordano’s Pizza – a local fav.
Our location at StayPineapple made it incredibly easy to explore, because we were right in The Loop. We were across from Millennium Park and within a short distance to some of the top attractions and destinations in the city.
It was the perfect oasis in the Windy City and I can’t wait to go back!
XOXO,
